YPC 2026 registration shall be conducted exclusively through participating schools. Students shall not register or make fee payments individually.
Each participating school shall be responsible for completing the registration of all its participating students and submitting the consolidated registration fee to The Physics Times.
The school shall:
Collect registrations from interested students.
Complete the registration of all participating students through this portal.
Collect the applicable registration fee from the students.
Submit the consolidated fee amount to The Physics Times.
Appoint one School Coordinator for all official communication and coordination.
Coordinate the examination and other competition-related activities at the school level.
Every participating school must appoint one School Coordinator.
The School Coordinator shall be responsible for:
Completing and managing student registrations
Collecting and submitting the applicable registration fees
Maintaining official communication with The Physics Times
Coordinating the Screening Round at the school
Coordinating all competition-related requirements at the school
Upon successful completion of registration and payment, the school shall receive an official Registration Confirmation containing the relevant registration details.
As the Round 1 Screening Round will be conducted using computers provided by the participating school, the number of computers available at the school shall determine the maximum number of students that may be registered in each category.
The Secondary and Senior Secondary categories will be conducted at different timings. Therefore, the same computers may be used by students of both categories during their respective examination timings.
If a school has 50 computers available for the Screening Round, the school may register:
Up to 50 Secondary Category students (Classes 9–10), and
Up to 50 Senior Secondary Category students (Classes 11–12)
Thus, the school may register up to 100 students in total, provided that no more than 50 students from either category are scheduled for the same examination session.
Schools must ensure that adequate computers are available and functional for all registered students during their respective examination timings.

Step 2 — Collect and Pay the Registration Fee
The school shall collect the applicable registration fee from all participating students and make the consolidated payment to The Physics Times.
Step 3 — Complete the Registration File
After making the payment, the school shall complete the downloaded registration file with the required school, School Coordinator, and student details.
Step 4 — Attach Payment Proof
The school must attach the payment proof/transaction receipt with the completed registration file.
Step 5 — Email the Complete File
The completed registration file, along with the payment proof, shall be sent to: nvsharma@thephysicstimes.org
Important: Registration will be processed only when the completed registration file and valid payment proof have been received and verified by The Physics Times.
